Irwindale Speedway set the stage for 742 Marketing’s Race Wars Los Angeles. An event with this name has a lot to live up to. Race Wars was able to live up to the scene from The Fast and The Furious. Girls, music, and of course the cars. From classic American muscle, imports, and even the latest exotic super cars, this show had it all.

The 1/8th mile drag strip saw matchups of just about every variation. We saw the epic rivalry of Subaru WRX STI facing off against the Mitsubishi Evo X, Mustang vs Camaro, and more. A Toyota Prius even hit the track and managed to pull out a perfect .000 reaction time. When the smoke settled, the fastest time went to a drag bike that reach over 125 mph in 5.404 on the short 1/8th mile track,

This was the biggest event for 742 Marketing to date. The organizer stated there were over 1000 cars on display and an estimated 10,000 in attendance. The judges took the whole day to get to each car. They spent time talking to the car owners about the current build and future plans. At the end of the night, awards were given out for best in class, in car entertainment, interior, paint, best of show, and more.

Each year 742 Marketing makes sure to pay tribute to Paul Walker.   A giant banner, which has been signed by attendees of past events, is on display next to a new banner for the current attendees to sign. Sitting in front of these banners is a replica of the first car we see Paul drive in The Fast and The Furious. Paul will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and fans.

742 Marketing has put this event on for a few years now. Each year gets bigger and better. They really know how to put on a great event for the community. Additional events are currently planned for Syracuse, New York and San Antonio, Texas later this year.
